I was absolutely delighted when Craig Robertson invited me to appear on a Bute Noir panel but the book festival exceeded all expectations. A beautiful Scottish island, fantastic weather, superb venues, a great bunch of well-known authors and appreciative and knowledgeable readers. Couldn't have asked for more!
